This Sunday’s derby decider against Castleford Tigers will have some added glamour pre-match as the Wildcat Dolls and Castleford Claws entertain the crowd.
The Dolls and Claws will dance alongside each other as part of the pre-match and half-time entertainment on Sunday to make the big match experience even better for fans of both clubs.
One of the most in demand dance teams in the country, let alone rugby league, the Dolls appearance on Sunday will add to their ever growing list of performances in 2012.
As well as performing at every Wildcats game, the Dolls are the official dance team for Stockport County FC, Northants Steelbacks CCC and Coldwell Boxing as well as becoming the first Super League dance team to appear on Sky Sports show Soccer AM.
Dubbed ‘Britain’s Sexiest Cheerleaders’ by the Sun newspaper, the Dolls have spread the name of the Wildcats into different sports, performing at the Elite Ice Hockey Grand Finals and the Masters Football events shown every year on Sky Sports.
But the girls have always stayed true to their roots in rugby league and have been long standing supporters of the Steve Prescott Foundation and Wooden Spoon Charity, were the Origin Dance Team when England took on the Exiles and just last weekend performed at the Northern Rail Cup final where they also took time out to film an extra special video that has since had over 3,000 views on YouTube and you can see it HERE.
They were booked to appear at the testimonial dinners of Adrian Morley and Jon Wilkin, and were even booked by Castleford’s Commercial Manager, Nick Fozzard, for one of his events.
With over 1,100 followers on Twitter, the Wildcat Dolls are getting bigger all the time and are ready to shine on the derby day stage.
Wildcat Dolls Manager, Sarah Elston, says the girls are looking forward to being part of the fun before kick-off.
“We’re really looking forward to Sunday and helping to get the crowd going before the main event of the afternoon when the two teams battle it out in the derby decider.
“The Wildcats fans have always been great supporters of us and we know they’ll be there in big numbers on Sunday to cheer on Danny Kirmond and the boys, and I’m sure they’ll give us a big cheer too.”
Be there to support the Dolls and most importantly the players this Sunday at the derby decider. Ticket details can be found by clicking HERE.
