WILDCATS HEAD INTO AMATEUR CLUBS

posted on 7 August 2012

Wildcats first team players are heading into local amateur clubs this month to give young local players special training sessions.

Eastmoor Dragons are the first club to receive a visit from the Wildcats players.

As part of the club’s 2013 membership campaign to reach 4,000 members before the end of October, players from Richard Agar’s first team squad will visit local amateur clubs to pass on some of their expert knowledge to the stars of the future.

What’s more, any junior who buys a 2013 membership on the night the Wildcats players are there will earn money for their amateur club, with £5 from every one sold going straight to the amateur club to help with things like equipment, playing kit and facilities.

The first night is this coming Thursday when Kyle Wood and Steve Southern will be at Eastmoor Dragons helping with coaching sessions for their under 8’s and under 11’s, with two more first teamers back at the Dragons on Thursday 16th August to pass on tips to the under 12’s and under 13’s.

Thursday’s training session will run between 6pm and 7pm, with the following Thursday running from 6.30pm – 7.30pm with any youngsters not yet playing for a club invited to come along and be a part of it.

Training sessions are held on Woodhouse Road, WF1 4RD.

If any other amateur clubs would like a visit from the Wildcats first team players plus the chance to earn some cash for their club then contact the Wildcats on 01924 211611 and ask to speak to Andy or Nicola or e-mail andymorgan@wakefieldwildcats.co.uk
