Wakefield Wildcats Chief Executive James Elston has urged fans to snap up their tickets for Saturday’s huge game at Headingley to continue the fantastic support that has helped Richard Agar and his team to seven consecutive victories.

The Wildcats faithful will pack out the Western Terrace on Saturday night

Over 1,350 tickets have been sold as of this morning (Thursday) for the trip to Leeds after receiving an original allocation of 1,750 and with the prospect of selling out Trinity have received an extra batch of 500 tickets for the Western Terrace.

The red, white and blue travelled in large numbers to help celebrate reaching the play-offs at Leigh last weekend, comfortably outnumbering the Salford supporters and the club looks set to topple last Saturday’s efforts.

CEO Elston admits the increased support makes a big difference:

“The numbers in which travelled over to Leigh last week were fantastic and you could tell they helped spur the players on. All the way through the game they didn’t stop singing to encourage the boys and that is something they will need to replicate at Headingley.

“Overall throughout this season we have seen remarkable increases for home and away fixtures with crowds at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium up 25% on last season which is testament to the great work Richard Agar and the players are achieving.

“The momentum here at the club is for all to see and this couldn’t have happened without our supporters as we ask them to continue their amazing support at the home of the champions to help the Wildcats achieve a historic win.”

Tickets will go off sale from 5pm tomorrow (Friday 14th September) and that is the last chance Gold Members can take advantage of their discounted match tickets with adults tickets starting from £17.

All play-off games will have the special offer of just £5 for juniors and to ensure bumper crowds for all top eight ties there is an offer of ‘buy four tickets, get on one free’ which is for supporters purchasing their tickets before the 5pm cut off on Friday afternoon.
