Wildcats Chairman Andrew Glover has called on supporters to buy their Gold Membership for 2013 with the Wildcats only around 1,500 towards the 4,000 member target.
Fans can watch all thirteen home Super League games next season for as little as £125 adults, £25 juniors, £85 concessions and £50 for young adults aged 16-21 if they buy before the end of October, half the price of what Gold Memberships will be come the start of the season next February.
In addition to offering one of the cheapest season ticket deals in the whole of Super League, members also get benefits including a free M.O.T. worth £40, exclusive discounts days at the clubs retail outlets, money off away travel and discount at local Nando’s, Frankie & Benny’s and Kashmiri Aroma in Wakefield plus much more, making the Gold Membership great value for money and far more than just a season ticket.
If the Wildcats don’t hit the 4,000 member target by the end of October then the early bird price will increase for all categories.
Glover has stressed the importance of fans committing to becoming Gold Members in allowing the club to push on both on and off the field.
“We’ve set our member targets so that there can be a match in terms of investment in the club from myself and from the people of Wakefield,” said the Wildcats Chairman.
“That will allow us to spend money on improving the quality and depth of the playing squad plus making improvements at the club that will allow us to continue to develop off the field.
“I’ve said from day one that I want this club to be a viable business and for that to happen we need supporters spending money with us. I appreciate that fans had a number of away trips at the back end of the season to Hull KR, Leigh and then match tickets and travel with the play-off at Leeds, and it was fantastic to see so many people there behind the team at no small cost to them. We thank them for that as they showed everyone what great supporters we have.
“But now we need people to get their Gold Memberships for next season so we can put things in place that can help us enjoy another successful year. We averaged crowds of around 8,000 this year and obviously the vast majority of those were Wakefield supporters.
“If those people that came regularly last year that weren’t members can sign up for 2013, plus those who were members can renew, then we will smash the 4,000 target and it will allow us to push on knowing what budget we are working with. At the moment we can’t plan with complete confidence because we don’t know what money we’re going to have in through Membership sales and we’re not prepared to spend money we don’t have.
“People only need to come to half of the games in 2013 and they will have saved on walk up prices so it’s saving them money in the long run as well as the host of added benefits.
“We’re offering one of the best value for money deals out there and we need fans to sign up for it. We’ve done our best to get the offer out there but know that we can still work harder and we will do, but we also need the commitment from the fans.
“The club is very much on an upward curve at the moment and everyone associated with us wants that to continue but the only way we’ll be able to do that is with financial commitment from our supporters. They have been outstanding in my first eighteen months at the club and I’m sure they won’t let me or the club down in helping us getting to and then smashing the 4,000 target by the end of October.”
