Asian Restaurant Kashmiri Aroma are to host a charity lunch on 16 September, in honor of terminally ill cancer patient and author, Dr Kate Granger, a doctor at Pinderfields Hospital Wakefield.

Paul Aiton will be at the charity book launch at Kashmiri Aroma.

This fundraising lunch will mark the launch of Kate’s second book The Bright Side. Kate’s first book The Other Side focuses on providing health professionals with an insight into her personal fears and the fears other patients face. All proceeds from sales of the books will be donated to Yorkshire Cancer Centre at St James Hospital Oncology department.

“We decided to support Kate after reading her story in the local paper,” explained Safena Sabir a director at Kashmiri Aroma.

“I was so moved by her story I was reduced to tears and knew we had to do something to help. My husband and fellow director Tariq and I arranged to meet Kate and were astonished with her zest for life, it is a real privilege to be working with Kate and the Yorkshire Cancer Centre.”

Kashmiri Aroma will host the buffet lunch on Sunday 16 September from 12.30pm. The event will also include a raffle, auction and book signing by Kate herself.  Wildcats players including Paul Aiton will be attending along with one or two local celebrities and you are invited to join them.
