C&D TO GIVE WILDCATS ADDED SHINE

posted on 17 October 2012

The Wildcats were the ‘cleanest’ team in 2012 with no yellow or red cards all season and a new partnership will see the club look to be just as clean off the pitch in 2013.

Shaun Downs, Nick Thorpe, Davide Longo, Gary Chapman, Jon Wood and Kate Speight mark the start of the partnership.

C&D Cleaning Services Limited will provide an added shine to the facilities at the Wildcats Rapid Solicitors Stadium home starting straight away as preparations for the new campaign continue.

Operating out of their headquarters in Barnsley, C&D Cleaning Services Limited have contracts to provide cleaning services to a wide range of businesses including corporate, retail and healthcare across the country from Walsall to Teeside and plenty of other locations in between.

Founded by Directors Gary Chapman and Shaun Downs in 1995, C&D Cleaning Services Limited have an excellent reputation within the industry and will bring their expertise to the Wildcats in a move that will enhance the experience of those enjoying match days and functions at the stadium.

Wildcats General Manager, Davide Longo, says the partnership will bring an instantly visible improvement to facilities.

“The Rapid Solicitors Stadium is the one of the oldest grounds in the sport and so naturally, the facilities have seen better days, but by bringing in C&D Cleaning Services Limited, we’re confident that supporters will see an improvement in areas such as the bars and toilets around the stadium,” said Longo.

“It was an area that was highlighted by both home and away fans in 2012 and we’ve acted upon that by linking up with C&D Cleaning Services Limited and we’re really pleased to have them on board as partners for next year.

“We made some great strides off the field in 2012 and we’re looking to build on that as we move forward and look ahead to Newmarket, with this partnership an example of how we’re not resting on our laurels and are continually striving to improve what we provide our supporters.”

Jon Wood (Contracts Manager), Kate Speight (Operations Manager) and Nick Thorpe (Head of HR) have been life-long Wakefield Trinity fans and were the driving force behind bringing the Directors of C&D Cleaning Services Limited to Wildcats Rapid Solicitors Stadium, originally as spectators.

Jon commented: “Although our Head Office is based in Barnsley, the Senior Management Team are all from Wakefield and have grown up supporting the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.  As a business, we began as proud sponsors but are now extremely excited about our new official partnership and the buzz surrounding the club.

“The entire team at C&D are looking forward to working with the club, their partners, sponsors and spectators, to keep this momentum going as together we really are stronger, making sure next season is yet another one to remember as we all prepare for Newmarket.”

This is Wakefield. Together We Are Stronger.
