Tickets and travel are on-sale for derby day as the Wildcats make the short trip to take on Castleford Tigers on Good Friday, 29th March.

The Wildcats meet Castleford in the traditional Good Friday derby.

The 8pm kick-off at the Wish Communications Stadium is the first of a hat-trick of derbies throughout the Super League season with Wakefield looking to retain their crown after an overall 2-1 win last campaign.

It will also give supporters the chance to raise money for the Wakefield Community Trust and Laura Crane Trust with a sponsored walk from the Rapid Solicitors Stadium to the home of the Tigers, with full details to be released later this week.  Anyone interested in putting their names forward and who would liked to be contacted directly are asked to e-mail

Wildcats supporters will save money by pre-purchasing their tickets for the West Yorkshire derby as matchday prices do increase by £2. There is also a £3 upgrade if you require to sit at the home of Castleford.

Not only will the visiting supporters save money, they will financially support Wakefield as 10% of all away tickets sold goes directly to the club.

Pre-purchase ticket prices:

Adults - £19

Concessions (under 16’s, over 60 and full time students with valid student ID) – £11

Under 5’s – Free

Junior swaps should be exchanged before the matchday to avoid congestion at the Wish Communications Stadium’s turnstiles.

Ambulant and wheelchair disabled supporters will be charged the same rate as the above with the carer receiving a complimentary ticket.

There are limited car parking spaces for the disabled Wildcats supporters and if you require a spot please contact 01977 552674.

Coach travel is also available for the trip to face Ian Millward’s men, costing just £5.50 for members and £6.50 for non-members. The coach will leave the Rapid Solicitors Stadium at 6pm and Wakefield Bus Station at 6.15pm.  The club will be taking declarations of interest on coach travel, with payment only being taken should there be enough numbers to fill the coach.

Should there not be sufficient interest, supporters will be informed so they will be able to make alternative arrangements.  Travel will go off sale at midday on Wednesday 27th March and tickets off sale at 5pm on Thursday 28th March.

This is Wakefield. Together We Are Stronger.
