DERBY DAY SPONSORED WALK FOR TWO GREAT CAUSES

posted on 13 March 2013

The Good Friday derby with Caslteford Tigers is one of the highlights of the year, and the Wakefield Community Trust want to make it even more memorable with a sponsored walk to the game.

Walk to the derby clash with the Tigers and raise money for the Wakefield Community Trust and Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust.

Join the Wakefield Community Trust team as well as Daddy Cool and the Wildcat Dolls in completing the ten mile walk to the Wish Communications Stadium in plenty of time for kick-off at 8pm as the two local rivals go head-to-head for the first time in 2013.

Everyone taking part in the walk will be raising money for the Wakefield Community Trust as they continue their work in the District as well as new Trust partners, the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, the only UK charity funding medical research specifically into cancer affecting teenagers and young adults, where it can frequently strike in dangerous and complex forms.

The walk will depart the Rapid Solicitors Stadium at 3.30pm and is expected to arrive at the home of the Tigers by 6.30pm.

Anyone wishing to take part should contact James Stephenson via jamesstephenson@wakefieldwildcats.co.uk for a sponsorship form which is also available to download HERE.
