Wakefield Wildcats academy fixture against the Tigers has been switched from being the curtain raiser the Wish Communications Stadium on Friday to the home of Castleford Panthers.
Stuart Dickens was set to put his under 19’s outfit up against their West Yorkshire rivals at their home ground but it has now been switched to a 4pm kick-off on Friday. That is instead of a 5pm kick-off as originally scheduled.
The youngsters will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after the 34-10 defeat to St. Helens and following the postponement against Leeds Rhinos at the weekend. Before the loss at Saints, Wakefield were unbeaten in four games which included a huge 64-6 victory over fellow local rivals Featherstone.
Meanwhile the Wildcats scholars are set to play Huddersfield Giants on Saturday away from home. The fixture is to be played at Huddersfield YMCA and if the game is in doubt both clubs will advise supporters in advance.
The Rapid Solicitors Stadium is to play host to the hottest prospects in England next Tuesday, 2nd April (kick-off 2.30pm) as France take on England. Wildcats pair Max Jowitt and Jordan Crowther are in the squad and will be hoping to play on their home ground in their international jerseys.
Tickets for the under 16 international are on sale on the turnstiles priced at £3 adults and £1 juniors.
