Race for Life comes to Wakefield on Sunday 2nd June to raise money for Cancer Research, but why leave it to the ladies to give cancer the boot?
Play for Life is back for its second year and promises to be bigger and better than 2012 as we invite you to run out on the Rapid Solicitors Stadium pitch and raise funds for Cancer Research and the Wakefield Community Trust.
Touch rugby is the name of the game and there’s not only the opportunity to play on the pitch just hours before the likes of Tim Smith and Sam Tomkins go head-to-head as the Wildcats entertain Wigan Warriors, but the more money you raise for charity, the more rewards you will get.
All Wakefield Community Trust events have three different levels of sponsorship with each providing you with the chance to get your hands on match tickets and official club merchandise.
Simply register yourself and your team for Play for Life and then get sponsored to raise money for two superb causes.
So, what can you get? Well, as you may have guessed, it all depends on which level of sponsorship you reach.
ENGAGE (min £30) – Wildcats vs. Warriors match ticket and Play for Life T-shirt presentation at half-time on the pitch.
INSPIRE (£50-£70) – Wildcats vs. Warriors match ticket, Play for Life T-shirt presentation at half-time on the pitch and a Wildcats FiTa Polo shirt.
ACHIEVE (£70+) – Wildcats vs. Warriors match ticket, Play for Life T-shirt presentation at half-time on the pitch and the choice of a Wildcats FiTa Product which include Rain Jacket, Coaches Jacket or polo shirt plus a complimentary ticket to Wildcats vs London Broncos on Sunday 23rd June.
Play for Life is open to anyone over the age of 14 with teams of six players required and no limit on how many players can be in a squad, although it is recommended that there are no more than ten.
