A team of former Wildcats players will take on Eastmoor Dragons this Sunday in a touch rugby charity fundraiser as both clubs celebrate their 140 year anniversaries.
Both teams were founded 1873 with Wakefield being Eastmoor’s first ever opponents, so to mark the occasion a team of former Wildcats stars will come together to provide the opposition for this charity event.
The Wildcats team for this game will feature some very familiar names with many former fan favourites in action. The squad list is as follows:
Eastmoor Dragons currently play in the National Conference League and have enjoyed victories this season over Widnes West Bank and Castleford Panthers.
For your chance to play against some of the ex Wakefield players and get to keep your playing shirt just obtain sponsors to a minimum of £45.
Once all the money is in and verified, Eastmoor Dragons will be makings charitable donation to Wakefield Hospice & the Wakefield Community Trust from the profits of the event.
Wildcats head coach Richard Agar is fully in support of the event and is urging as many people as possible to go down and be part of it.
“It’s great that all the former players are getting together and helping out local amateur clubs in support of two worthy causes.
“I’m sure that it will be a brilliant day with many great characters on show so I would urge anybody to make the journey to Eastmoor and support a great event.”
The game will take place at Eastmoor club with a 2.30pm kick-off so go along and watch some Trinity greats in action.
