The Wildcats have received encouraging news on the fitness of captain Danny Kirmond and Andy Raleigh ahead of Friday’s rematch against Leeds Rhinos (kick-off: 8pm).

Wildcats captain Danny Kirmond could be fit to face the Champions on Friday.

Kirmond was forced off with around thirty minutes remaining at Headingley Carnegie but scans have shown no serious damage to his knee and should the skipper respond well to treatment then he will be in contention to lead the team out.

It was also positive news for prop Raleigh, with scans clearing him of a fracture to his cheekbone as first feared.  The 2012 Player of the Year is also set to be available for selection to head coach Richard Agar.

Taulima Tautai could return from a thumb injury that has kept him out since early June.  The explosive forward picked up the injury against Wigan Warriors in only his second Wildcats outing and despite taking a part in training last week, he was not considered ready to make his return.

Centre Dean Collis will also be hoping to prove his fitness as he continues his rehabilitation from a recurrance of a troublesome hamstring injury.

Tickets for Friday’s non-televised clash are already in high demand and after the biggest rugby league crowd of the weekend in either Super League or the NRL witnessed last Friday’s West Yorkshire derby.

Buy your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment from the Ridings Centre Store, the Stadium Box Office or online.
