ACADEMY SET TO WELCOME BULLS

posted on 2 August 2013

Stuart Dickens has included Daniel Mirfin in his squad for tomorrow’s important fixture at home to the Bradford Bulls as the team look for back-to-back victories.

The Wildcats will be looking to build on their win over Castleford Tigers.

Last time out the academy got a morale boosting 22-12 win over local rivals Castleford thanks to tries from James Healey, Mat Cook, Luke Metcalfe and Brandon Conway.

That win leaves Wakefield 11th in the table but only one point behind London Broncos who occupy that all important final playoff position in eighth.

Opponents Bradford are positioned in ninth, level on points with the Broncos, so this is a vital fixture for them too in a make or break game for both teams.

When the sides met on the first day of the season the Wildcats were edged out 26-18 as Brandon Conway’s brace and Ben Shulver’s try went unrewarded.

The full squad for tomorrow’s game is:

Brandon Conway

Curtis McDonald

Mat Cook

Sam Doherty

Jamal Hunte

Scott Lee

Josh Kittrick

Reece Trout

Danny Maskill

Corbyn Kilday

Brad Day

Jack Walton

Jack Anderson

Luke Metcalfe

James Healey

Tom Rodgers

Jack Teanby

Danny Mirfin
