Richard Agar has named Jarrod Sammut in his 19-man squad to face Bradford Bulls with the new signing set to go straight into the matchday seventeen.
Sammut signed for the Wildcats on Friday evening and was in Cardiff on Tuesday morning to transfer his visa paperwork over as the club ensured his application was fast tracked to make the half-back available to Agar.
Sammut comes into the squad in place of the injured Jimmy Keinhorst who saw just 15 minutes of action in his debut at Salford Red Devils before a recurrence of a hamstring injury forced him off the field.
That aside, Agar keeps with the same players who pushed Salford Red Devils hard at the AJ Bell Stadium. The players were in cryotherapy chambers in the immediate aftermath of that game to aid with their recovery and will have just Wednesday’s team run as the sole training session ahead of the home opener on Thursday night (kick-off: 8pm).
