Dean Collis has been handed a two-match ban after submiiting an early guilty plea to the charge of Grade C dangerous contact with Bradford Bulls player Lee Gaskell in the first minute of last Thursday’s game.
Collis was charged by the match review panel and faced up to a three game ban had he contested the charge and the Australian centre submitted his early guilty plea on Tuesday morning.
Collis will miss Sunday’s trip to Wigan Warriors and the meeting with Catalans Dragons at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Sunday 9th March.
Nick Scruton escaped a charge for a shoulder charge on Scott Anderson in the 18th minute with the panel deciding: ‘Illegal Shoulder Charge was used however most impact is absorbed by teammate’s arm and secondary contact with the attacker’s head is minimal. Worthy of on-field penalty.’
Danny Addy was placed on report for a tackle on Jarrod Sammut in the 53rd minute with the panel again deciding no charge. They concluded: ‘Grips opponent around the head and neck area. Ball carrier’s actions part of the problem. Lands safely. Does not apply pressure to the head/neck/spinal column.’
