Following an inspection by Wakefield Council the capacity of the Rapid Solicitors Stadium has been increased to 6,133.
The capacity of the Stadium was reduced to 5,333 at the start of the season following a review of the clubs safety certificate but following the work carried out so far the capacity has been increased in time for Sunday’s game against Warrington Wolves.
A further barrier inspection is due to take place within the next fortnight that is expected to see the capacity increased further.
Chairman Michael Carter commented: “We’re obviously pleased to get the increase in capacity and expect there to be a further significant increase in the near future. I’d like to thank the people who have helped us over the last few months, in particular Andy Irlam from Radius Security and the volunteers who have given up so much of their own time.”
Tickets for Sunday’s game against Warrington Wolves are on sale now priced at £20 adults and £12 for concessions/juniors. Tickets can be purchased from the Ridings Centre Store, the Rapid Solicitors Stadium Box Office or by calling 01924 201548/211611.
