WAKEFIELD WILDCATS LEARNING ZONE

posted on 22 January 2015

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats 'Learning Zone' exists to work in partnership with local schools in the Wakefield District.

We aim to provide a positive experience for individuals and an opportunity for young people to develop fresh identities as learners.

In working towards these goals we make full use for the positive effect created by our association with the Wakefield Wildcats and our successful partnership with all the staff, players and coaching team here at the club.

Jo Kelly who runs the learning zone said, "The Wakefield Wildcats Learning Zone is located within our stadium. It offers children a unique opportunity to boost children's confidence and self esteem. But most importantly. we all have lots of fun!!"

We endeavour to work with disadvantaged groups, especially those, who are on free school meals, are in care or are a carer themselves.

Win and Grin with the Wildcats Course

We offer schools the opportunity to send groups of 10 pupils along to the Wakefield Wildcats Learning Zone to attend a course, consisting of six two hour sessions. The aim of the course is to engage children in activities which they will find exciting, fun and stimulating whilst helping to boost their confidence and self esteem. These courses run consecutively through the year.

The cost does not incur any cost to school.
