After a week off due to the World Club Series, Super League is back!
Round 3 sees Wakefield Wildcats travel to the Select Security Stadium on Sunday 1st March to face the Widnes Vikings, who are in search for their first win of the First Utility Super League campaign. Kick off is 3pm.
James Webster's side will be looking to make it three from three following victories over Castleford Tigers and Hull Kingston Rovers, respectively.
Two points for the Vikings would see them end their run of six games without a win over Trinity, having lost every fixture since their return to Super League in 2012.
The last visit to Widnes was a pulsating one to say the least, ending with a Paul Sykes try right on the hooter to give Wakefield a 24-18 win! The corresponding fixture at Belle Vue also went down to the wire, as Nick Scruton scored a crucial try in a 12-10 victory.
Chris Annakin, Matty Ashurst, Michael Simon and Ian Kirke are all sidelined with injuries. However, James Webster welcomes 18 year old Jordan Crowther and new signing Joe Arundel into his 19 man squad for the first time this season.
Four coaches will be travelling over to Widnes on Sunday and we look forward to seeing you there cheering the boys on to what we hope will be another victory! You can still book
