Wakefield Trinity Wildcats club foundation has partnered with Sky Try.
Sky Try is a seven year programme that will support and develop grassroots participation of the sport across the UK.
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats has joined forces alongside 21 other clubs from the First Utility Super League and the Kingstone Press Championship to partner with Sky Try.
"It is very important to further increase the interest of our club and the match day attendance", said James Stephenson, Community Development Officer at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. "But it is important to be able to give back to the community and build up that excitement of the club."
The main aim of the programme is to make a difference to the Rugby League by increasing the amount of fans and participants.
It has four distinct areas, focussing on working with local primary and high schools. Helping both boys and girls learn new skills, and encourage them to play rugby with the hope that one day one of these children will become a future star.
"It further enhances and forges the links and relationships with our schools and the community in Wakefield." James continued.
