WARRIORS PREVIEW

posted on 23 April 2015

Wakefield Wildcats will welcome Wigan Warriors to Belle Vue tonight, kick-off 8pm.

Lyne comes back into contention of a starting place, after missing out over the Easter period suffering with an injury. New signing Ben Kavanagh has also been named in James Webster’s 19-man squad and could make his debut tonight.

After a tough period, James Webster’s side will go into the fixture positive after knocking local side Halifax RLFC out of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup six days ago.

Wigan will come to Belle Vue also on the back of a victory; they beat Warrington Wolves 30-20 at home on Thursday. However, they have been struggling with poor form away from home this season.

Shaun Wane has named unchanged 19-man squad from last week which includes Ben Flowers who made his first appearance this season in the Super League last week.

Both sides met seven weeks ago at the DW Stadium where Wigan beat the Wildcats 50-10 in round 7.

Wakefield: Crowther, Godinet, Hall, Kavanagh, Kirke, Kirmond, Lauitiiti, Lyne, McShane, Miller, Molloy, Owen, Ryan, Riley, Scruton, Simon, D. Smith, T. Smith, Washbrook.

Wigan: Bateman, Bowen, Burgess, Clubb, Crosby, L. Farrell, Flower, Gelling, Hampshire, Manfredi, McIlorum, Mossop, Patrick, Sarginson, Smith, Tautai, J. Tomkins, L Tomkins, Williams.
