Danny Kirmond is set to make his 100th appearance for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Sunday.
The skipper who joined Wakefield in 2012 from Huddersfield Giants is set to make his 100th appearance for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
“It is a very proud moment for me to be making my 100th appearance for my hometown club” stated Kirmond.
It will be a special occasion he will never forget, facing local rivals Castleford Tigers at St James’ Park, Newcastle at Magic Weekend.
He continued, “It will be a great moment to lead the team out at the Magic Weekend, in what is a massive derby game for us.”
The back-rower was no stranger to his hometown club; he had spent part of the 2010 season on loan from the Giants at Wakefield. Initially he was handed the Vice-Captain role before impressing the then coach Richard Agar who made him captain.
“Hopefully the fans will be there in Newcastle and in fine voice as they have been for the previous 99 games I have played for the club.”
