Jordan Tansey spoke to the press ahead of the derby with his former club Castleford Tigers on Sunday.
The 28-year-old who has featured in all three fixtures since joining the club last month scored his first try against Hull FC at the KC Stadium. He discussed his time at Castleford Tigers and felt the move to Wakefield was important to get some more game time.
Tansey said, “It should be a good game against Cas my old club, I am really looking forward to it. Castleford lost last week up at Hull and we didn’t get the result we wanted to, so it should be an interesting game.
“I really enjoyed my time there and I have got some good friends at Cas, they are doing well at the moment but I wanted to be playing more. That’s why I chose to come here, to get some more game time.
“It is good here at Wakefield, the lads are great. My first day there was four new faces, it happened pretty quick, but we all got settled in well and our performances are getting better every week.”
Tickets are still on sale for the fixture, you can purchase them online here, or from the ticket office at the ground or shop in the Ridings.
