Wakefield Trinity Wildcats showcased a fantastic fight in the second half, stunning the visitors Hull FC to take their third victory this season.
Brian Smith was pleased with the way his side pulled together but believes that there is still more work to be done.
“There was a lot of relief in the dressing room; there have been a lot of people working for this moment. They have been chiselling away and trying to get over the hump for 16 hard games and it is a tough thing to face up to.
“The whole club deserves some recognition for the way they have supported the players and the players have been working hard to get there.
“We were very disappointing in those early minutes, I think I have to look at myself and what I am doing there, as there is something that is not right. That is three sluggish halves in a row, so I need to review it. We need to see if we can work out another way to start again.”
