Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will welcome Hull FC to Belle Vue this evening in the first game of the double-header.
The Wildcats will be hoping for that much needed win this evening; they go into the game on the back of a 10 day turnaround. Brian Smith will be hoping that his squad will take the positives from round 20 when they faced Catalans Dragons in Perpignan, and channel them into their performance tonight.
Smith’s four new signings; Kevin Locke, Michael Sio, Jordan Tansey and Anthony Walker have all been named in the 19-man squad and are in contention of making their debuts.
Captain, Danny Kirmond will miss out again suffering with a few niggles; he will join Dan Smith, Ali Lauitiiti, Matty Ashurst and Scott Anderson on the sidelines. All of whom are close to making a return to the side.
Hull FC are without Mark Minichiello, Leon Pryce and Richard Whiting who have been rested. Marc Sneyd also misses out as he is serving his second game of his two-match ban.
The Airlie Birds have been struggling with form of late losing the last three fixtures, two against Leeds Rhinos. One of which knocking them out of the Challenge Cup. They will also be looking to get back to winning ways this evening.
Both clubs have only faced each other this year back in January during pre season celebrating Gareth Ellis’ Testimonial. Wakefield stormed the game resulting in a 46-10 victory at Belle Vue.
