Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will travel to the AJ Bell Stadium to face Salford Red Devils in the opening game of the Super 8s qualifiers.

The tie will take place on Sunday 9th August, kick-off 3pm. Salford proved to be tough opponents this season, beating us in what were very close encounters both home and away. Ticket information for this fixture will be released in due course.

The first home fixture for Wakefield comes in the second round on Saturday 15th August, kick-off 3pm. We face local side Bradford Bulls who are fighting for promotion after being relegated from the Super League last season alongside London Broncos.

Trinity will then be looking for a victory when they face Kingstone Press Championship leaders, Leigh Centurions after the 30-36 defeat at home in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup. The fixture will take place at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday 22nd August, kick-off 3pm.

Our final game of qualifiers will be away to Sheffield Eagles at Bramall Lane on Sunday 27th September, kick-off 3pm.

Dates and times are subject to change for television after the fifth round. Sky have chosen to show our fixtures with Bradford Bulls and Leigh Centurions.

Chairman, Michael Carter has spoken about the choice of Saturday games, explaining, “We have chosen Saturday fixtures for two reasons. The first is that we want to have a minimum of a six day turnaround if not seven days between our fixtures. This will be extremely beneficial to get the best out of our team over the seven rounds. Secondly, is to get an appetite of how popular Saturday fixtures will be for future purposes.”
