SAMOAN SIO PAYS TRIBUTE TO MIDDLE UNIT

posted on 19 August 2015

Michael Sio paid tribute to the forward pack who laid the platform for him to play off in Saturday's 48-18 victory over Bradford Bulls.

Trinity picked up their first Super 8s Qualifiers win on Saturday afternoon and put an end to a pretty dull record against the Bulls having not beat them since John Kear's final game in charge back in 2011.

Sio played a huge part in a dominant Trinity performance and is really enjoying his time as a Wildcat as well as house sharing with team-mate Bill Tupou.

"Being around a good bunch of boys helps." said Sio

"I'm settling in alright and enjoying my time here. (Bill) has been really good, when he first got here he was pretty quiet but now he's starting to open up and it's pretty hard to shut him up now." joked the Samoan international.

"(On Saturday) The big guys like Scruton, Anderson and Simon gave us the go-forward and quick play the balls which made my job a lot easier getting around the ruck and it also gave our boys on the edge a lot of ball and space to move."
