The Wildcats scored tries through Max Jowitt, Ben Cornell, Tom Megretton, James Batchelor, Judah Mazive and Joe Capless.

Huddersfield managed to chalk up tries from Jamie Stringer and Sam Wood but that wasn't enough to deny a rampant Wildcats side.

Despite Trinity being in control for the majority of the contest, it was the Giants who were first out of the blocks when Jared Simpson put Stringer in for a try out wide. Isaac Farrell was on target with the conversion and gave his side a 0-6 lead.

However, it wasn't long until the Wildcats found their groove; Jowitt was given the ball out wide and turned his opposite number inside out for a fantastic try. He wasn't able to convert but the deficit was cut to just two points.

Just three minutes later, Stu Dickens' men went in front as Scott Flemming floated a lovely pass into the path of Ben Cornell, who made no mistake in grounding the ball. Jowitt added the extras, 10-6.

Jordan Crowther was heavily involved throughout the evening; his barnstorming runs were laying the platform for the backs to play off and that's exactly what he did for the next try of the game, as he stormed through the defence and had Megretton outside him for the score. Jowitt was wide with the conversion attempt, leaving the scores at 14-6 going into the break.

HALF-TIME: Wildcats U19's 14-6 Giants U19's.

The second-half started in a similar fashion to how the first-half ended, with the Wildcats taking advantage of some lackluster defence to grab a try. Batchelor, who is on trial, scored his third try in just two games as he proved too strong for the Giants close to the line. Jowitt converted the try, leaving the scores at 20-6.

Coaches' Player Of The Year, Judah Mazive, was next on the scoresheet as he was put through a hole by Crowther and showed plenty of pace to get to the line. Jowitt was unable to add the extras, 24-6.

The Giants needed to score the next try if they were to get anything from the game and they did that as Farell found Wood who raced away to the line. Farell added the conversion to bring the scores to 24-12.

However, that was as good as it got for Huddersfield and Trinity put the icing on the cake when Megretton set Capless up for a try in the corner and Jowitt converted from out wide.
