WILDCATS V BULLS PREVIEW

posted on 14 August 2015

Round 2 of the Super 8s Qualifiers sees Wakefield Wildcats face Bradford Bulls at Belle Vue. Kick-off 3pm.

Despite leading last weeks game against Salford with ten minutes to go, the Wildcats were edged out by the Red Devils, 34-26. Meanwhile, Bradford will be looking to emulate their comfortable 42-10 victory over Sheffield Eagles.

Brian Smith names an unchanged 19-man squad from last week, with Andy Yates and Jordan Tansey in contention having been left out of the 17-man squad over at Salford. As for James Lowes, he brings new signing Dane Nielson straight into the reckoning and Harry Siejka looks set to make his return from injury, he is named in Lowes' provisional squad alongside Matty Ryan. Both will be returning to Belle Vue for the first time since joining the Bulls.

The two sides haven't faced each other this season due to Bradford competing in the Kingstone Press Championship but the Bulls have the advantage on recent head-to-head's, winning the last six meetings.

The 19-man squads are below:

WILDCATS: Anderson, Arundel, Ashurst, Lyne, Miller, Molloy, Moore, Mullally, Owen, Scruton, Sio, L. Smith, T. Smith, Tansey, Tupou, Walker, Washbrook, Yates.

BULLS: O'Brien, Sidlow, Purtell, Ferguson, Nielson, Addy, Williams, Lauaki, Siejka, Clare, Pitts, Philippe-Baile, Gaskell, Ryan, Blythe, Caro, Clough, Crossley, Olbison.
