Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are delighted to announce that Jacob Miller has signed a two-year deal which will see him stay at the club until 2017.
The 23-year-old joined Wakefield back in 2014 from Super League side Hull FC on a one-year deal and has certainly played a key role in the red, white and blue.
He has had an impressive first year, with 15 tries in 26 appearances making him the club’s leading try scorer this season. Miller has been favourite to play as stand-off, as well as taking on the roles of loose-forward and full-back on a few occasions.
Miller is pleased to have signed a new contract saying, “I have enjoyed myself so much, I could not be happier that I am staying at Wakefield for the next two years.
“It has been a pretty tough season for us, but our goal of remaining in the Super League is still alive. I would say that it has helped me grow as a person and as a player.
“I always want to keep learning and keep improving my game, and this will not change going into next season. My aim is to come out even better and stronger than I have done this year and play to my best ability.”
Chairman, Michael Carter is also pleased to have signed Miller until 2017, “I am delighted to have secured Jacob’s services for another two years. Jacob has been a shining light in what has been a difficult season.
“I look forward to seeing Jacob making further progress in the red, white and blue.”
