Last night Wakefield Trinity Wildcats annual awards ceremony took place with Jacob Miller and Mickael Simon scooping up the awards.
Miller who has just signed a two-year contract which will see him stay at Wakefield Wildcats until 2017 was the biggest winner of the night walking away with five out of the seven awards up for grabs.
He received the Try of the Year for one of his four tries against Warrington Wolves at Belle Vue in July. He also won Clubs Rising Star, Fans Player of the Year, Players Player of the Year and the Johnny Thomson Man of Steel Award.
Mickael Simon picked up Coaches’ Player of the Year which was chosen by Head Coach, Brian Smith and assistant coach Stu Dickens. The prop who joined the club from French side Catalan Dragons has been a solid performer throughout the season making 24 appearances.
Our final award, ‘Clubman of the Year’ was won by Wildcats’ volunteer Ray Wood. Ray has been exceptional for the club, planning coaches for away games, trips for supporters for Magic Weekend, and most recently putting together the Grand Raffle to help raise money for the Youth and Development.
It was a fantastic evening celebrating the highs of the season, huge congratulations to the three winners. Images from the evening will be on the website very soon.
