Walker Signs New Deal

posted on 30 October 2015

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have secured the signing of Anthony Walker on a two-year deal.

The Welsh international was one of Brian’s ten signings when he took over as Head Coach back in June. Walker joined the Wildcats from Super League side St Helens on loan until the end of 2015.

Walker who made eight appearances has made his move to the Wildcats permanent after signing a two-year deal which will see him in the red, white and blue jersey until 2017.

Walker said, “I am so happy that I have been able to sign a new deal, I really enjoyed my time last year, especially working under Brian Smith who is an excellent coach. I’m looking forward to coming back in pre season and work extremely hard to go on the field and give it my all.”

Brian is delighted to have signed Walker, “We will see a slightly different Anthony Walker in 2016. His tremendous footwork in attack will be enhanced from his tough workouts in his personal programme throughout the off-season. He is one of many contenders for a spot in our forward pack.”

There are only two days left to reserve your seat for 2016, so don’t delay and make sure you call into the shop in the Ridings Centre or call 01924 201548 to purchase yours.
