Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are delighted to announce that Anthony England has signed a two-year deal with the club ahead of the 2016 season.
The 28-year old joins the Wildcats from Warrington Wolves and has a wealth of experience in Super League having made 39 appearances in just two seasons during his time at the Halliwell Jones.
In 2014, England made the step up from playing Championship rugby with Featherstone Rovers and became a consistent figure in Tony Smith’s Warrington team before injury cut his 2015 season short.
The prop-forward, who played with Stuart Dickens at Featherstone, is looking forward to reuniting with the Wildcats Assistant Coach, as well as playing in front of the faithful fans.
“I’m made up to be signing for an up and coming Super League club.” admits England.
"I’m really looking forward to getting into training with the boys and excited about the new signings.”
“It will be great to work with Stu Dickens again and I’m also looking forward to seeing the different styles of coaching between the Smith brothers. Not to mention playing in front of an amazing set of fans.”
