Wakefield Trinity Wildcats community trust are launching our brand new Ambassadors Scheme this December.

The programme which has been in the planning process for nearly two years has been given the green light to launch this December ready for 2016. Initially there will be 10 pilot junior rugby clubs around the Wakefield district involved, which will enhance the relationship that has been built up in previous community work further.

The Ambassadors Scheme is all about building budding relationship with community clubs to benefit from a range of support and to help to get more children involved within the sport to hopefully teach the next generation of rugby stars.

Lead Community Officer James Stephenson commented, “I am delighted to be able to get the ambassadors scheme up and running, for nearly two years we have been looking to have this launched, but with other areas taking priority initially, now they are all sorted I am really excited that this can progress formally with our community clubs.

The initial pilot will see us more proactive and responsive with our junior & youth rugby league teams. I am looking forward to enhancing our relationships with these clubs and helping them grow and develop further. It’s a great time to be involved at Wakefield Wildcats, exciting things are happening and there is so much more to come.”

The launch evening will see a presentation from both James Stephenson & Ryan Hudson with forewords from both Chairman Michael Carter and Brian Smith, taking place on Monday 7th December 6.15pm in the Legends bar. at Belle Vue Stadium. If you would like to attend then please email:
