An important part of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats set up is backing the youth development system. The focus of this department is to nurture, retain and produce Super League players.

Part of the support network is to give the Wildcats' members the perfect opportunity to go watch the Wildcats’ U19s and U16s take to the field and showcase their skills. For 2016 all members will be able to watch the Scholarship and Academy games at Belle Vue for free!

Head of Youth and Development, Ryan Hudson has spoken about this scheme saying, “It is a fantastic idea, we want to show fans of the club exactly what the youth development is about and the best way is by watching games. The young boys put a lot of hard work and dedication into the game and training, it is important that they can see there is a support network out there pushing them to grow as a player even more.

“Our main aim at the club is to keep the youth development growing each season and I do believe that this year we are bigger than ever. It is so rewarding to see players earn themselves a place in the first team. This year we have the likes of Tom Johnstone, Ben Shulver, Max Jowitt and Jordan Crowther all named in the first team squad.”

Fixtures for the U16s and U19s will be released in due course on the club’s official website.

Buy your membership today from the club shop in the Ridings Centre and online to make sure you don't miss out on these fantastic benefits. A reminder that prices for Membership Plus will increase by £10 on the 1st Decemeber. A reminder that juniors under the age of 16 can watch all home Super League fixtures for free.
