Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are pleased to announce that DanceXplosion will be working in partnership with the club to deliver the schools street dance programme with immediate effect.
The dance academy will be based at the iconic Belle Vue Stadium with a focus on getting children active and having the opportunity to participate in performances on a match day. Evening dance session will be taking place at the ground every week for children as young as 3 years to showcase their skills and have fun, and will be run by owner of DanceXplosion, Jodie Travis.
Dance has been an integral part of the club since 2006 and of which Jodie has played a huge part of its success, she has now expressed her excitement for this up and coming opportunity. She said, “I’m extremely happy to be working in partnership with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, providing young people with the opportunity to lead a healthy and active lifestyle, and through DanceXplosion be involved with a professional rugby league club. My aim is to to create a positive environment where children can thrive and to give them opportunities to perform and showcase their skills. I am excited about improving the match day experience through DanceXplosion."
The schools programme will be commencing in Spring Term One but the academy will be up and running before Christmas. There will be a free taster session with DanceXplosion, which will take place on Tuesday 8th December at 4.45pm until 5.45pm at Belle Vue Stadium.
