Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are thrilled to announce that Tom Johnstone has extended his contract at the club.
The 20-year old came through the Academy ranks at the Wildcats and signed his first full time deal with the club last June. He featured regularly in the first team squad last season making 12 appearances scoring nine tries one of them against Castleford Tigers at the Magic Weekend. He has just penned a new four-year deal at the club which will see him in the red, white and blue jersey until 2019.
Tom has spoken about the deal saying, "I am absolutely thrilled to say that I have signed a new deal with the club. I am excited to keep on developing under such an experienced coach such as Brian. I love the way the club is moving forward and I cannot wait to be a part of that for another four years."
Chairman, Michael Carter has also expressed his delight for the youngster, "I am delighted that he has signed for the next four years. Tom has come through the Academy program and has established himself as a member of the first team squad.I am happy that he's committed to us for the next four years. I have already turned down offers from other clubs for Tom.
