Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Hull Kingston Rovers have joined forces to reward loyal season membership holders at both clubs with discounted tickets when the two sides face off in Super League XXI.

The exciting new partnership between the Wildcats and the Robins will apply to away fans supporting their respective teams on the road next season, starting with the clash at the KC Lightstream Stadium on Sunday, 21st February, kick-off 3pm.

It will see Wakefield membership holders offered tickets at the reduced rate of just £10 for adults and concessions for the game in East Yorkshire, with Rovers members enjoying the same price for the return fixture at Belle Vue on Thursday, 2nd June.

The partnership has been designed to incentivise away supporters by rewarding their loyalty. Supporters who commit to purchasing a 2016 season membership will be eligible to receive the discounted rate when purchasing tickets in advance of their team's away fixture from their respective club.

Hull KR’s CEO Mike Smith said: “We’re committed to rewarding our season members throughout the 2016 to thank them for their support.

“This forms part of that ‘reward’ strategy but will also help us achieve our goal of starting our 10th season in Super League with a bang in front of a sold out stadium for the big opener against Castleford and a 10,000-plus crowd for the Wakefield game.

“We’re planning lots of entertainment for both games to make them a great day out and we hope fans will buy into what we are trying to achieve.

“We’re delighted to work with Wakefield on this initiative and we hope fans of both clubs will travel in big numbers to the games to prove the concept of cheaper away tickets works as a way to grow attendances.

“Once we can demonstrate its success, we will have greater pull to arrange similar deals with other clubs in the league, therefore making it even more affordable for our loyal members to follow Hull KR on the road.”

Wildcats Chairman Michael Carter added: “I am delighted to embrace this fantastic initiative alongside a club like Hull Kingston rovers. Last season both clubs travelled in big numbers to the respective away games, and we wanted to reward the loyalty of our Membership Plus Holders. We are always looking to give our Membership Plus Holders great value for their continued support of the Club, and hopefully this will be the first of many great offers coming their way. I look forward to a fantastic atmosphere at both games."

Tickets for the first meeting between Hull KR and Wakefield next season, at the KC Lightstream Stadium on Sunday, 21st February, will go on general sale in early January.
