Jason Walton looks ahead to the 2016 season which is only weeks away after he joined the Wildcats at the start of December on a one-year deal.

The 25-year old who primarily plays centre had a two-day trial at the Wildcats before signing a one-year contract which will see him in the red, white and blue jersey until the end of the season.

"I am definitely pleased to be here at the Wildcats," said Walton. "I think I had a day and half trial and I obviously impressed Brian enough for him to sign me which is fantastic.

"Brian is an exciting coach and I have always wanted to work with someone who has been where he has been. I look forward to continue to work with him in the future" continued Walton.

He was named in the squad to face Leeds Rhinos on Boxing Day has spoken about the difficulties of joining a squad late on in pre season. "It was hard to start quite late after everyone, but I have got my head down and focused hard. The players and coaching staff have been great and I get on really well with them all, that makes everything so much easier."
