An exciting opportunity to be part of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats this season.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and the RFL Touch Rugby League department have joined forces to offer four individuals who are aspiring for leadership in sport to take part in an NVQ to gain a Level 2 Certificate in Activity Leadership.

The objective of the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Activity Leadership is to provide a benefit to learners through an introduction into the principles and practice of safe, ethical and effective practice in leading activity sessions, and to confirm competence to the required standard in an appropriate sports/leisure environment.

This fantastic opportunity will give the individuals invaluable experience when working alongside the Community Department at Wakefield Wildcats helping with the Touch Rugby League competition, match day festivals and much more. The ideal candidates should have good communication and inter-personal skills, work effectively in a group environment and to be able to work on unsociable hours; evenings and weekends.

Lead Community Officer James Stephenson said, "This is a great opportunity to gain a qualification in sport and to join in with some of the projects we deliver in particular the Play Touch Rugby League programme. I am looking forward to be able to mentor the individuals who have a passion for learning, self development, Rugby League and the Wildcats!"
