Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are pleased to announce that Chris Annakin has signed an extension on his contract.

Annakin, 25 who is a product of the Wildcats Academy has signed another one-year extension on his contract which will see him in the red, white and blue jersey until the end of 2017.

Chris Annakin said, “I am very pleased to have signed the extension, it is nice to have the security behind me. To keep me here for another year is great especially because I have come up through the ranks at the club.

“Chris Chester has changed this squad around since coming in and we are now on a good run, he is making his plans for the future and it is nice to know that I am a part of it.”

Head Coach, Chris Chester has spoken about his delight for Annakin, “It is important for the club that we have been able to secure another home grown talent such as Chris Annakin. Chris has been a good servant to the Wildcats for seven years and I am delighted that he has extended his contract for another 12 months.”

The Club 1873 Lottery has played a vital role for the Wildcats’ Academy System providing the funds to help retain and nurture the young stars who are eager to earn a first team call up. Without this the club would be without players such as Chris Annakin, Tom Johnstone, Jordan Crowther, Max Jowitt and James Batchelor.
