Wakefield Wildcats’ primary dance partners, Dancexplosion, are on the lookout for children to join their dance team.

The dance academy, which is based at the home of the Wildcats, Belle Vue Stadium, are recruiting children aged three and over to join their dance team to learn fun and energetic street dance routines.

The academy’s focus is on getting children exercising and active, however the partnership with the club also allows children the fantastic opportunity to showcase their skills in front of thousands of people at half-time on match days.

Dance has been a hugely successful part of the club for close to a decade, something Dancexplosion owner Jodie Travis has been an integral part of, and she’s keen to expand the number of children within the academy to ensure that continues.

The academy will run every Tuesday and is open to any children aged three and upwards, with no previous dance experience necessary. For more information or if you wish to see the timetable, please email JodieTravis at
