Wakefield Trinity Wildcats’ official dance squad, “Trinity X”, will perform for the first time when the Wildcats face Warrington Wolves on Sunday.
The team will entertain the crowd with their first live dance routine during half-time of the game against Warrington, and will continue to perform at all the Wildcats home fixtures in the future.
Auditions for the squad were held in April, from which 20 experienced dancers were chosen to represent the team. They have been training for close to a month in preparation for their first public performance on Sunday.
The newly formed dance team are coached by DanceXplosion owner Jodie Travis, who also runs a dance academy ‘DanceXplosion’ for children aged three and over at Belle Vue Stadium, and the short turnaround from auditions to the group’s first live performance is reflective of the hard work and dedication Jodie has put in to the “Trinity X” dance team.
The team is also currently on the look-out for a sponsor to help improve their match-day dance show, which provides a unique opportunity to have your name seen by thousands of people at Belle Vue at every home game, as well as helping the group fund training, equipment and outfits.
