Wakefield Wildcats will go into this evening’s fixture with Leeds Rhinos looking to make it the double over Leeds Rhinos.
The last time both sides faced one another was back in March which saw Trinity take the two points after a 20-16 victory with the tries coming from Hall, Miller, Ashurst and then a penalty from Liam Finn.
It is an all important fixture for the Wildcats, with the opportunity to extend the points difference even further in securing a spot in the top eight. Depending on other results a win could see Wakefield move up into fifth on 20 points.
Chris Chester has made four changes to his side that got the win against Huddersfield Giants last Sunday. New signing David Fifita has been named in the 19-man squad and is in contention of making his debut for Trinity and the Super League, he will be joined with Scott Moore who makes his return to the side after a six match suspension. Mika Simon also returns along with Jason Walton and the four players that have been rested are Nick Scruton, Craig Hall, Chris Annakin and Andy Yates.
Leeds Rhinos travel to Belle Vue tonight on the back of a victory at home last Friday against Salford Red Devils which was their fourth win this season and will be looking at making it their first back-back-wins in the league.
Brian McDermott has named an unchanged side, with former Wildcats’ player Anthony Mullally in the 19-man squad. They are still without Ryan Hall, Carl Ablett and Zak Hardaker who were expected to make the return this evening.
