Excitement for tomorrow afternoon's Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-final is building!
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have their eyes on securing a first Wembley appearance in 37 years as they face Warrington Wolves tomorrow at Leigh Sports Village. (kick-off 2.30pm)
After beating Huddersfield Giants in the quarter-final, Trinity are up against a Wolves side who have been highly successful in the Challenge Cup over recent years. Despite losing their last three semi-finals, Warrington are seeking a fourth Challenge Cup win since 2009.
The Wildcats' last appearance in a semi-final came in 2008 against Hull FC. But after conceding three early tries, it became an uphill battle for Trinity and they eventually lost out 32-24.
Tomorrow's meeting will be the third between the two teams this year, with the Wolves running away to a 34-16 victory early on in the campaign, but Trinity took revenge at Belle Vue back in May with a 36-28 win.
The Wildcats welcome back Ben Jones-Bishop, Scott Moore, Scott Anderson and Andy Yates. They replace youngsters Bradley Moules and Liam Senior, as well as Jonny Molloy and Matty Ashurst, who both picked up injuries last weekend. Danny Kirmond has also been named in Chris Chester's 19-man squad and could feature for the first time in six weeks.
Warrington finished the regular season in second place and have a fully-fit playing roster to choose from. Tony Smith has made one change from last week's squad as half-back Declan Patton is brought in, with winger Tom Lineham dropping out.
The half-back pairing of Kurt Gidley and Chris Sandow has proved to be one of the best in Super League during 2016. Whilst a front-row of Chris Hill, Daryl Clark and Ashton Sims will look to get the better of Trinity's pack.
Wildcats: Anderson, Arona, Arundel, Crowther, Fifita, Finn, Hall, Jones-Bishop, Jowitt, Kirmond, Lyne, Miller, Moore, Scruton, Sio, A Tupou, B Tupou, Walton, Yates.
Wolves: Atkins, Bailey, Clark, Currie, Dwyer, Evans, Gidley, Hill, Hughes, G King, T King, Patton, Penny, Ratchford, Russell, Sandow, Sims, Westerman, Westwood.
