Wakefield Trinity Wildcats’ penultimate game of the regular season see’s the club travelling to Perpignan on Saturday to face Catalans Dragons, kick-off 6pm (CET) 5pm (UK).
Wildcats go into the game on the back of a frustrating defeat to Wigan Warriors last Friday night after losing the game right in the dying seconds, however the side have secured their spot in the top eight after Hull KR lost out to Hull FC last night.
Chris Chester has made four changes to his side that will fly out to Perpignan tomorrow, his 19-man squad have been boosted with the return of Captain, Danny Kirmond, Nick Scruton, Mickael Simon and Anthony Tupou.
They will replace Chris Annakin who has been sidelined for the remainder of the season, Ben Jones-Bishop who is has suffered a slight niggle, James Batchelor and Anthony Walker. The Wildcats are still without Tom Johnstone who will be out for another four weeks with a leg injury.
Catalans Dragons have been suffering with a number of injuries in recent weeks. Head Coach, Laurent Frayssinous has also made four changes to his side after losing Richie Myler, Greg Mouris and Thomas Bosc have been ruled out after picking up injuries against Castleford Tigers last week. The four players coming into his 19-man squad are; Jason Baitieri, Todd Carney, Willie Mason and Pat Richards.
Both sides have faced each other twice this season, with the Dragons taking the two points when they came to Belle Vue Stadium back in March after a 28-42 victory. The second fixture saw the Wildcats on top after a fantastic kick from Jacob Miller secured the win at Magic Weekend in May.
