This evening Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will make the short journey to the Mend-A-Hose Jungle to face local rivals Castleford Tigers, kick-off 8pm.
Chris Chester has been forced to make six changes to his side after the defeat to Widnes Vikings two weeks ago. A few players have returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines with injuries and are in contention for a starting spot. Matty Ashurst and Tom Johnstone, Mika Simon and Anthony Tupou have all made a return along with Scott Anderson and Jordan Crowther.
They will replace Jason Walton, Mikey Sio and Judah Mazive, James Batchelor misses the game through injury and David Fifita has a one match suspension.
Castleford Tigers head coach, Daryl Powell has only made one change to his 19-man squad. Jake Webster makes a return for the Tigers replacing Frankie Mariano who has sustained a rib injury.
In previous encounters between both sides this season, the Tigers have come out on top with victories in both games. They go into tonight’s fixture on the back of a defeat to Warrington Wolves on the 20th August. This comes after two victories in the Super 8s campaign against Wigan Warriors and Hull FC.
However, the Wildcats have struggled in the Super 8s campaign, losing out to Wigan, Warrington and Widnes. Chester will be looking for an improved performance from his side and get the much needed two points.
