SUPPORTER INFORMATION FOR RHINOS DERBY
The Wildcats prepare to welcome the 2012 Super League Champions Leeds Rhinos to the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Friday 22nd March with tickets already in high demand.
A massive West Yorkshire derby, the two teams enjoyed some memorable battles in 2012, with the Wildcats coming out on top on home turf and a huge travelling support at Headingley Carnegie as the red, white and blue bowed out of the play-offs to the eventual competition winners.
There was also an unforgettable encounter where the two sides shared 84 points in a thrilling encounter in Super League XVII.
The two teams will renew their rivalry in what promises to be another memorable chapter in the recent history of meetings between the two clubs and it’s a game that people are already talking about.
Supporters are advised that as the game is not on Sky Sports, tickets are in even higher demand than normal for this fixture but the game is NOT all ticket, with the club encouraging fans to buy in advance of the matchday to avoid disappointment and also to save money on the price on the gate.
Seated tickets are still available but are expected to sell out quickly, whilst with the large following from the Rhinos expected to take up the entire Western Terrace, ground standing tickets will also be at more of a premium than at any other point in the year.
Furthermore, with such a large travelling support expected, there is a distinct possibility that the Rhinos fans will also be situated in the north-west corner of the stadium, and supporters are thanked in advance for their cooperation with the matchday security team in helping this run as smoothly as possible as per the opening games of this season.
Wildcats General Manager, Davide Longo, commented: “We’re expecting a huge crowd for the game and we’d just like to reiterate to supporters that buying tickets in advance will not only guarantee that they’ll be at the game, but it will save them money and save on the time spent queuing on matchday for tickets.
“The supporters have been great with the new arrangements put in place since the start of the season and we thank them for that. It will be the biggest away support we’ve had this year so we will need the cooperation of our supporters alongside the matchday security team to ensure that everyone has the best matchday experience possible.
“We’d like to reiterate that the policy is not one of strict segregation, rather areas of the ground where supporters from each team are advised to stand so that they can be with their fellow supporters to enhance the atmosphere and enjoyment for men, women and children.”
Buy your match tickets now to avoid missing out by visiting either of our retail stores at Trinity Walk or the Ridings Centre, the Rapid Solicitors Stadium Box Office or buy online.
Tickets are available from just £20 adults and £12 juniors/concessions, with the price of the adult ticket rising on the day of the game.
