VOTE FOR KITCHENS BY DESIGN TRY OF THE MONTH
Derby day victories over Huddersfield and Leeds made it a memorable July for the Wildcats with a number of classy tries being scored in the process to see Trinity pull away from the lower reaches of Super League.
Despite starting off the month with a disappointing 52-10 loss at home to Wigan, Richard Agar’s men bounced back to produce some fine attacking play which has been shortlisted to just five tries from the 15 scored across the month.
June’s winning score with over 50% of the votes was Ali Lauitiiti’s bulldozing run against London Broncos, with Terry Dyson one of those to vote and winning himself two tickets for the clash with Widnes Vikings in September.

The shortlisted tries for July’s Kitchens by Design Try of the Month are:
A. Peter Fox Vs Wigan Warriors
The winger scored the first try of the month and it was a very well worked team move with the ball travelling through a number of hands at pace. Richard Mathers produced a fantastic cut-out pass to set Fox free who finished expertly against the league leaders.
B. Tim Smith Vs Huddersfield Giants
The half-back scored a killer try against the Giants after Paul Sykes gave a short pass to Paul Johnson who broke through the defence and found the supporting Smith who sped over the line from 10 metres out.
C. Paul Sykes Vs Leeds Rhinos
The Bradford loanee was on the receiving end of some inventive play by the Wildcats as the team did well to keep the ball alive throughout the set before Sykes used brute force to smash his way through Leeds captain Kevin Sinfield and three other Rhinos defenders to extend Trinity’s early advantage.
D. Danny Washbrook Vs Leeds Rhinos
Super League’s top tackler scored his fifth try of the season after a 65 metre break after Kyle Wood set Sykes free before finding Amor who was hauled down just 10 metres out. Trinity kept their composure with Sykes and Cockayne combining to set Washbrook over the line on the left wing position.
E. Kyle Wood Vs Leeds Rhinos
The hooker was on the receiving end of some fabulous prop forward play by Kyle Amor and then Andy Raleigh as the forwards combined by both turning and offloading in the tackle with Raleigh firing an offload to Wood who evaded Kallum Watkins tackle to give Trinity their fifth try of the evening on a memorable evening at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
