WILDCATS LAUNCH PAST PLAYERS’ ASSOCIATION

The Wildcats are calling on former first team players to become part of the official ‘Past Players’ Association’.

Former Wildcat, Gary Spencer, will head up the Past Players' Association with Jon Wray

Chaired by former Trinity winger Jon Wray and full-back Gary Spencer, the Past Players’ Association will allow some previous Trinity greats to retain close ties with the club and help keep the clubs rich heritage and history at the forefront of the clubs ambitious plans for the future.

The Touchline Bar has been set aside as a meeting point for members of the Association and will also allow supporters to mingle in the company of some of their heroes from years gone by.

In order to apply to be part of the Past Players’ Association, an individual must be a retired player who was contracted to the club on professional terms.

Membership is £30 per year and entitles the member to entry to Wildcats home matches plus the opportunity to apply for one further guest ticket to each game.

Past player events are in the pipeline making it a fantastic way for former Trinity players to socialise and recall some fond memories amongst their former teammates.

Wildcats General Manager, Davide Longo, said the Past Players’ Association is an important way of retaining links to the clubs rich history.

“The club has had some great moments throughout the years thanks to the players that have pulled on the red, white and blue and it’s only right that we acknowledge the part that they have played in making the club such a famous name in the sport,” said Longo.

“As we prepare to embark on an exciting new era it’s important that we keep strong links to the people that have made Wakefield Trinity what it is today and the Association will allow us to do that.”

Any past players wishing to apply should contact the club on 01924 211611 or e-mail their details to nicolarichards@wakefieldwildcats.co.uk

Alternatively call Jon Wray on 07930 951 890 or Gary Spencer on 07714 220 086.
