WILDCATS PROUDLY SUPPORTING TICKETS FOR TROOPS

The Wildcats are delighted to announce that the club has pledged to donate free tickets to servicemen and women for each of their home games at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.

The Wildcats will proudly support Tickets for Troops in 2012

These tickets will be available to serving members of the Armed Forces as well as veterans who have been medically discharged since 2001 and can be booked via the charities website www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk

The Wildcats have agreed to donate tickets to all thirteen of their home Stobart Super League XVII games in 2012 plus any Carnegie Challenge Cup games that may take place, starting on Sunday 12th February against Hull KR.

Ross Barden, Operations Director of Tickets for Troops, commented “It is a huge boost to the morale of the troops to have their commitment and dedication recognised in this way and we are thrilled to have the support from Wakefield Wildcats.”

Wildcats Chief Executive, James Elston, added: “As a club we are very proud of our role in the community and being able to support Tickets for Troops is another way in which we can do our bit for people in our area.

“Tickets for Troops is a fantastic initiative and one that we are very proud to be able to work with.”

“You have to be brave to play rugby league but the bravery shown by the men and women in our Armed Forces is incredible,” said Danny Kirmond, vice-captain of the Wildcats.

“It’s great for the club to be supporting the people that give so much to our country and we look forward to seeing them and their families at the games this season.”

Tickets For Troops was set up in 2009 to provide members of the Armed Forces with free tickets for major sporting events, theatre performances, music concerts and cultural attractions. Since launching, the charity has been donated over 260,000 tickets and over 110,000 troops have registered on the website www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk

Tickets for Troops have teamed up with a wide range of organisations offering troops free tickets to enjoy an afternoon, evening or full day experience at many high profile events; recently these have included tickets for Billy Elliot The Musical, England v Holland and The Brit Awards 2012.

Troops are encouraged to go online and register at www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk to take advantage of the fantastic tickets available for our Armed Forces.
